The timer and countdown feature is adjustable up to 99 minutes allowing different styles of cooking and giving freedom to cook different cuisines in one go. The timer comes with auto delay and shut off function thus allowing you to control the cooking time.

The hot surface indicator and residual heat button is a great feature to warn the users about the induction being hot. It prevents undue accidents and informs the user when the cooktop has cooled down and is safe to clean.

As the boost feature is available in all four burners, you can rapidly boil and make tea or coffee within seconds.

The nine cooking heat levels add versatility and give the user more freedom to explore different styles of cooking.

Induction cooking does not produce waste heat so the kitchen does not get unusually warm. There is no open flame and no fear of gas leakage.

The cooktop is quite smooth and easy to clean and maintain. It has a metal body and seamless finish making it quite sturdy. Only the heating element area gets hot while the rest of the cooktop remains cool to touch.

Anacona elite induction is very energy efficient. It does not waste any energy as all the heat is generated in the cookware and is used up to cook food.

The induction has been tested and complies with part 18 of the FCC rules. This basically means it will not cause any interference in a residential location due to electromagnetic energy generation.

In case it starts interfering with radio or tv, relocate the receiving antenna of the radio/TV or increase the distance between the induction cooktop and the radio/tv antenna.

What’s not so great

The burners are arranged in a bit of haphazard fashion. The largest burner is on the right rear. This can make large size vessels full of water or food difficult to place and manipulate.

With the display control panel just behind the burner, unnecessary spills can also happen while placing or removing the cookware.

The induction is quite huge and not an ideal choice for bachelors or small spaces. One may never use so many burners due to a solitary lifestyle.

Similarly, if you have cramped up kitchen space with not a big countertop, it is better to pass this induction and go for a movable and compact induction.

The front burners and the display panel are placed quite near. This can get in way of cooking and poor visibility of key buttons.

Ancona AN-2401 Elite 30' Induction Cooktop, Black

It can also be dangerous if the hot liquid spills over the display buttons. The functions might change, steam forming will make the keys difficult to operate. The heating up of the display panel may result in the malfunctioning of keys and controls. The user may have to go for the child lock every time they use the front burners.

Only induction friendly and heat resistant cookwares are compatible with cooktop. This leaves you at a disadvantage if you don’t have good induction friendly cookware.

The cookware should be ferromagnetic like stainless steel or iron. All other cookware will not work.

The size of the cookware must match the diameter of the heating element for a well-cooked food. The induction will not operate if the cookware is too small.

Too large cookware will have edges of uncooked food. The shape of the bottom of the cooking vessel must be flat for good conduction. A rough bottom will hamper the relationship between the base of the cookware and the cooktop.

Patients who have a pacemaker or similar medical devices must stand at a distance and cook so as not to let the electromagnetic field affect the pacemaker.

This makes it a nuisance as not many people can stand at a distance of a minimum of 1 foot and cook on the induction.

Electrical connections must be installed by qualified and licensed personnel. Improper installation can result in personal injury or property damage. You need a licensed residential electrician to install it.

The one year warranty does not include damage caused during shipping, handling or installation.

The warranty does not cover labor costs related to installation, removal or reinstallation costs or another contingent expense.

It also does not cover the routine replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear of the product.

The induction comes with a power-sharing feature. The right and left cooking zones are powered by two independent induction invertors.

So there is one inverter for each of the two heating sections. So if we are cooking in both right zones, the last power level setting will be maintained, while the first cooking zone may experience a slight reduction in the power level.
